Welcome!

What is the PTO?
The 2011-2012 Parent Teacher Organization Officers would like to welcome everyone to the start of a great new school year!  The PTO is a group of parent and teacher volunteers working together to enhance our children's learning experience at CHES,
We strive to promote a good working relationship between parents, teachers, and staff.  Our goal each year is to use the money we raise to fund programs and purchase supplies that will help our children get a better education.  By ensuring that our teachers have what they need in the classroom, we feel our teachers and children benefit from a better classroom experience.
If you haven't already, please join the PTO.  Membership is $5 for one parent and $10 for two.
Membership Application.
We are making a big effort this year to communicate better with our parents.  Like us on Facebook at Center Hill Elementary PTO or check back here for updates.
Am I committing to serve as a volunteer by joining the PTO?
Absolutely not! By joining the PTO you are simply showing support for your child and your child’s school.
What exactly does the PTO do with the money that they raise?
The PTO uses every dollar of the money raised right here in your child’s school for projects like the playground, the outdoor classroom, awning for the bus riders, Smart Boards, new computers, Honor Roll parties, Accelerated Reader Program, audible books for classrooms, book purchases for the school library, Physical Education equipment (portable basketball goals and balls) and many, many more worthwhile projects.
What special skills or training do I need to be a PTO volunteer?
If you have a desire to be involved in your child’s school then you are more than qualified to be a PTO volunteer.
Can I volunteer if I am a working parent?
Absolutely! We need all kinds of volunteers including stay at home parents and working parents. There are many opportunities to volunteer during school hours, during evening hours and on the weekend.

Thank you for visiting our website! Please browse through the categories on the left for a closer look at your school PTO. If you have any questions or would like more information on anything that you see, please contact one of the officers.
