Attention Shoppers!! If you buy groceries at
Kroger or Schnucks, you can earn money for Center
Hill Elementary every time you shop! The PTO
has reloadable gift cards available for both stores
that pay the school a percentage of every dollar
loaded onto the card.
“I have used the card almost exclusively since
receiving one back in March 06. Here’s how easy it
is.....when I get to the checkout, I give the cashier
my card and say “I want to put $200 on this.” I
then pay for that reload by cash, check or credit
card (this takes maybe one minute!) and then the
cashier begins processing my groceries. When
everything is rung up, I swipe the gift card just like I would a credit card, the
total is deducted from the gift card, and I’m through. It’s that easy. If I have
a balance, I can pay for that in whatever manner I choose.
Bottom line is that I am not buying something I don’t want, not donating
money directly to any cause, not doing ANYTHING that I wouldn’t normally do,
but Kroger and Schnucks are going to send Center Hill a check for $250 every
time all the reloads hit $5000 (5%). And because I’m paying for the reload
with my credit card, I enjoy the points/miles/rewards that come with using my
card,” C. Spencer
